THE CHURCH OF THE INCARNATION celebrated its centennial in 1998. A hundred years earlier, a group that had been meeting in the mine superintendent's quarters leased the bottom floor of the Odd Fellows Hall and began to hold Episcopal services there. Five years later the present structure was erected - at a cost of $3,595.84. It was a good investment. The ores have played out, and the mines have closed, but the Church of the Incarnation is as vibrant and living as ever. |
