Acolytes |
Young people of the church are encouraged to participate in worship as acolytes. They carry the cross in procession, assist in the collection of alms, and serve at the altar. Please contact Marian if you are interested in receiving training to become an acolyte. |
|
Altar Guild |
The Altar Guild is responsible for the care of the altar. Their duties include arranging flowers, and setting up service materials, including hangings and silver, for the services during a month. If you would like to participate in this ministry, please contact Nancy Smallfield. |
|
Choir |
The Choir is made up of people who wish to make a joyful noise in praise and worship of God. Please express your interest to Jane Keller, our organist, and she will help you find a vestment and hymnal. |
|
ECW |
Episcopal Church Women's purpose is to assist the women of the Church in carrying out Christ's work of reconciliation in the world and to take their place as leaders in the life, governance and worship in the Episcopal Church. |
|
Greeters/Ushers |
A smiling face at the church door welcomes everyone who visits Incarnation. Greeters provide a bulletin to assist you in following the service. |
|
Lay Ministers |
Lay Ministers serve as intercessors and chalice bearers during services. They are licensed by the bishop, and are primarily responsible for assisting the Celebrant during communion. |
|
Lectors |
Lectors read lessons during services. In reading God's word in the service, they proclaim the truth that everyone - clergy and people - jointly proclaim the word of God to the world. |
|
Sunday School |
The Christian Education program is for children and adults, with separate classes at 9:30 am. The young people go to classrooms with dedicated teachers. Each teacher commits to one month of teaching. The curriculum, which is biblically based, colorful, and engaging, allows our young people to learn of our biblical forebears and Jesus Christ, and to have a bit of fun while doing it. You are encouraged to volunteer for this ministry. The planning and teaching resources will be provided for you. |

Vestry |
The Vestry is one of the most important groups in any Episcopal Church. It is a body of lay persons, elected from the parish at large. Membership requirements, according to the canons of the Episcopal Church, are that any member be a communicant in good standing of the parish, have reached the age of 18, and have been confirmed. The primary function of the Vestry is to assist and advise the Vicar in the administration of the parish. |
